Baseball Recap: Bremen Takes a Loss

Bremen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Oak Forest Bengals, falling 12-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bengals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 on Monday.

Jose Hernandez was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

Bremen's loss dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Oak Forest, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-9-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bremen will face off against Argo at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Argonauts have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.44 runs per game on average), something the Braves will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Oak Forest, they will welcome Oak Lawn at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bengals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Spartans have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season.
