Basketball Recap: Christian Family Academy Takes a Loss

After soaring to 73 points the game before, Christian Family Academy was a bit more limited in their contest on Saturday. They fell 37-29 to the Forsyth Home Educators Hawks. If the Fire were looking for revenge after losing 56-51 to the Hawks when the teams met back in February of 2016, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Forsyth Home Educators' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Braden Knipp led the charge by putting up eight points and four steals. Knipp is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Baylin Clodfelter was another key player, earning eight points and six steals.

Christian Family Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Forsyth Home Educators, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Looking ahead, Christian Family Academy will challenge Pinnacle Classical Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Forsyth Home Educators, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 49-36 defeat against Gospel Light Christian on the 8th.
