Basketball Recap: Valier Takes a Loss

Valier was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 65-19 loss at the hands of the Cut Bank Wolves. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-13.

Leading Cut Bank to victory were Burke Lowery and Greg Coy. Lowery went 6 of 7 en route to 17 points along with six boards and four steals, while Coy almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Chris Amesbury, who posted six points.

Valier's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Cut Bank, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valier will welcome Heart Butte at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Cut Bank, they and Choteau will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
