Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Decatur). Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Lake Worth Bullfrogs a 19-0 shutout on Friday. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by six runs or more this season.
Alivia Creasser made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
In other batting news, Decatur got a massive performance out of Madi Moreland, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3. What's more, Moreland posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in February. Hallie Washburn was another key player, scoring three runs while going 1-for-2.
Decatur's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Lake Worth, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.
