Volleyball Recap: Henry Clay Blue Devils vs. Bryan Station Defenders

Henry Clay lost against Bryan Station back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Blue Devils took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Defenders.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 21-25, 25-15, 25-22.

Bryan Station found their leader in sophomore Lily Howard, who had 17 digs and four aces. Howard has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Newman, who had six digs and three aces.

Henry Clay's loss dropped their record down to 18-4. As for Bryan Station, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 12-9.

Looking ahead, Henry Clay will square off against Lexington Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Bryan Station, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Lafayette on the 24th.
