Volleyball Recap: Pima Roughriders vs. Mesquite Wildcats
Pima lost against Mesquite back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pima Roughriders took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mesquite Wildcats. The Roughriders have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as their game on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Kate Barsetti was the offensive standout of the contest as she had five aces and four digs. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served three or more in the last three games she's played dating back to last season.
Pima's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Mesquite, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.
Coincidentally, both will both be playing St. Johns the next time they take the court. Mesquite will head out to face St. Johns on Friday, while Pima will play them later in the day, at TBD.
