Basketball Recap: O'dea Snags Sixth Victory in Last Seven Games

O'Dea won the last time they faced West Seattle and things went their way on Friday too. The O'Dea Fighting Irish blew past West Seattle 73-49. Given the Fighting Irish's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while West Seattle are ranked 90th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

O'Dea has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 11-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.1 points per game. As for West Seattle, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-9.

When O'Dea and West Seattle next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. O'Dea will square off against Seattle Prep and their four-game winning streak at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Similarly, West Seattle will try to stop Edmonds-Woodway's 16-game winning streak when the meet at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday.
