Basketball Recap: Ellington's Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday

Ellington can bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They secured a 61-57 W over the Westwood Baptist Academy Eagles. This was payback for the Whippets, who suffered a 65-31 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Anden Moore, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 boards. With that strong performance, Moore is now averaging an impressive 8 rebounds per game. Robbie Dodd was another key player, putting up 15 points along with six boards and five assists.

Ellington's win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-9. As for Westwood Baptist Academy, with the loss, they broke their eight-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-6.

Ellington has already played their next match (against Naylor), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Westwood Baptist Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
