Volleyball Game Preview: Cony Rams vs. Brewer Witches

The Cony Rams will head out on the road to square off against the Brewer Witches at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Cony lost 3-0 to Gardiner last Tuesday.

Cony was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-18, 25-23.

If Nokomis wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Brewer, they should've done a better job of containing Zoe Drake. The Witches put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday with plenty of help from Drake, who had eight digs and three aces. Drake is crushing it when it comes to aces: she's served at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

One reason for the win was Brewer's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-7, 25-5.

Brewer's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Cony, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Cony came out on top in a nail-biter against Brewer when the teams last played back in October of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Witches turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
