Football Recap: Monroe Takes a Loss

Monroe was the 28-13 winner over Delavan-Darien when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Cheesemakers took a 47-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Comets on Friday. The Cheesemakers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Monroe's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Delavan-Darien, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monroe will face off against Evansville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Blue Devils' defense has only allowed ten points per game this season, so the Cheesemakers' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Delavan-Darien, they will take on East Troy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Comets will be up against the Trojans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28.57 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
