After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Aiken, Brookland-Cayce was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Midland Valley Mustangs by a score of 3-1. The victory continues a trend for Brookland-Cayce in their matchups with Midland Valley: they've now won seven in a row.

Hailey Jiminez-Cortez and Layne Powers scored all three of Brookland-Cayce's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 15 goals.

Brookland-Cayce's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Midland Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.
