Softball Game Preview: Mira Mesa Marauders vs. Grossmont Foothillers

The Mira Mesa Marauders will be taking part in a tournament against the Grossmont Foothillers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mira Mesa is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

On Monday, Mira Mesa didn't have quite enough to beat Del Norte and fell 5-4.

Aria Phruksukarn and Isabel Novak did some serious damage despite the final result: Phruksukarn went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI, while Novak scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Meanwhile, Grossmont might've scored the first runs on Thursday, but it was Brawley who claimed the real prize. Grossmont fell just short of Brawley by a score of 7-6.

Jenna Ennis made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Jules Short, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI.

Even though they lost, Grossmont kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in May of 2024.

Grossmont's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8-1. As for Mira Mesa, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.
