It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Mercer had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 41-38 victory over the Cochranton Cardinals. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Mustangs have posted since December 14, 2023.

Several Cardinals players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Macie Williams, who posted eight points in addition to five boards and three steals. Marley Rodax was another key player, putting up ten points and three steals.

Mercer's victory bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Cochranton, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-7.

As of now, neither Mercer nor Cochranton have any future games scheduled.
