Basketball Recap: Frankfort Starts Season with Win at Home + How To Watch

Frankfort gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They skirted past the Lourdes Central Catholic Knights 52-50. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2024.

Lourdes Central Catholic lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Vance Poppleton, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards. Hudson Rutt was another key player, dropping a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Frankfort didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 54-36 win against Pawnee City on the 5th. As for Lourdes Central Catholic, they will head out on the road to challenge Conestoga at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
