Soccer Recap: Gilbert Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Gilbert can now relate to. They came up short against the Bishop England Battling Bishops on Wednesday, falling 5-0. The shutout was out of character for Gilbert seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

Gilbert has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for Bishop England, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-5.

Gilbert does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bishop England, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North Augusta at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
