Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic posted their closest victory since June 6, 2024 on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Neumann-Goretti Saints 5-3. For the Friars/Pandas, this counts as revenge for the 4-3 victory the Saints walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Danny Buckton made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits (and only one walk). Buckton was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.
