Baseball Recap: Burley Takes a Loss

Saturday just wasn't the day for Burley's offense. They fell just short of the Jerome Tigers by a score of 1-0 on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 7-4 loss on Thursday.

Burley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacoby Roe, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Burley's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Jerome, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-14.

Burley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jerome, they will venture away from home to square off against Twin Falls at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bruins have averaged an impressive 8.9 runs per game this season.
