Recap: Englewood Pirates vs. Bruce Randolph Grizzlies
The Englewood Pirates won the last time they faced the Bruce Randolph Grizzlies, and things went their way on Saturday too. In a tight game that could have gone either way, Englewood made off with a 31-30 win over Bruce Randolph.
Englewood got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jonae Harris out in front who scored eight points along with 14 rebounds. Harris has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more rebounds the last four times she's played. Willow Levicki was another key contributor, scoring two points along with five rebounds.
Englewood's victory bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Bruce Randolph, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-11.
Englewood will head out on the road to challenge Arvada at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Arvada focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Saturday. As for Bruce Randolph, they will be playing at home against Arrupe Jesuit at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Arrupe Jesuit has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
