Having just played yesterday, the C.B. Aycock Golden Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the Goldsboro Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

C.B. Aycock is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their matchup on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 60-30 win over Eastern Wayne. The game was the first time the Golden Falcons have beaten the Warriors on their court since January 26, 2021.

C.B. Aycock's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Taleia Claude, who posted 15 points. Kaitlyn Lancaster also deserves some recognition as she scored her first points of the season.

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Goldsboro over Southern Wayne in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Cougars blew the Saints out of the water with a 71-24 final score. Goldsboro smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards every time they've taken the court this season.

C.B. Aycock pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.0 points on average over those games. As for Goldsboro, their record now sits at 4-1.
