Preview: Harrells Christian Academy Crusaders vs. Fayetteville Academy Eagles
The Harrells Christian Academy Crusaders will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Fayetteville Academy Eagles at 5:15 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Harrells Christian Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Kerr-Vance Academy, but they still walked away with a 40-36 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Harrells Christian Academy.
Meanwhile, Fayetteville Academy had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They strolled past Faith Christian with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 51-37.
Fayetteville Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Riley Duchon out in front who scored 26 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Duchon has scored at least a third of Fayetteville Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Polly Miller, who scored 18 points.
Harrells Christian Academy now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Fayetteville Academy, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-7.
Harrells Christian Academy barely slipped by Fayetteville Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, winning 46-45. Does Harrells Christian Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Fayetteville Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
