Baseball Game Preview: Whites Creek Cobras vs. Caverna Colonels

The Whites Creek Cobras will take on the Caverna Colonels at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Thursday, Whites Creek came up short against Hampshire and fell 12-8. The Cobras have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Marcus Ford was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Amari Irvin, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-1.

Meanwhile, Caverna was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 27-0 to Hart County. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Whites Creek now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Caverna, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5-1.

Whites Creek skirted past Caverna 1-0 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Do the Cobras have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Colonels turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
