Volleyball Recap: Newman Triumphs

After losing to Kewaskum the last time they met, Newman decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Fighting Cardinals had just enough and edged out the Indians 2-1.

Camille Sobolewski paced Newman's offense, picking up 13 kills. Sobolewski got some help from Lexi Rice and her 15 assists. Rice was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

The victory got Newman back to even at 5-5. As for Kewaskum, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.

Newman wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against D.C. Everest on the 30th. As for Kewaskum, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Oconto Falls on the 30th.
