Baseball Recap: Auburn Takes a Loss

After soaring to 18 runs the game before, Auburn was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They lost 9-2 to the Enterprise Wildcats. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Auburn saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Whatley, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Lawson Hare also deserves some recognition as he stolen his first stolen base of the season.

Auburn's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Enterprise, their win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

Looking ahead, Auburn will welcome Providence Christian at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The last three games Providence Christian has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Enterprise, they will head out on the road to square off against Pike Liberal Arts at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
