Volleyball Game Preview: Virgin Valley Bulldogs vs. Moapa Valley Pirates

The Virgin Valley Bulldogs will head out on the road to square off against the Moapa Valley Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Virgin Valley is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.

On Monday, Virgin Valley got the win against Mater Academy East Las Vegas by a conclusive 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-6, 25-15, 25-17.

Virgin Valley got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Dallin Moeai out in front who had 23 assists. Moeai has been hot, having posted 15 or more assists the last eight times he's played.

Meanwhile, Moapa Valley didn't have quite enough to beat Somerset Academy Losee on Monday and fell 3-2.

Moapa Valley wouldn't go down easily and took Somerset Academy Losee into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 21-25, 23-25, 25-20, 15-13.

Virgin Valley's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Moapa Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Virgin Valley took their victory against Moapa Valley in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0. Will Virgin Valley repeat their success, or does Moapa Valley has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
