Baseball Recap: Westlake Takes a Loss

Westlake fell victim to Rocky River and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Demons' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Westlake saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sean Brouillard, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases. Brouillard has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

Westlake's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Rocky River, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-7.

While Westlake had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
