It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but River Oaks had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 42-12 win over the Newton County Academy Generals. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by 20 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead River Oaks to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kaden Ramer, who rushed for 81 yards and three TDs, and also picked up 61 receiving yards and one touchdown. Andrew Robinson helped out on the ground, rushing for 109 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something River Oaks proved: they limited Newton County Academy to a paltry 2.4 yards per carry. The Mustangs didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 11.4.

River Oaks' record now sits at 10-0. As for Newton County Academy, they moved to 9-2 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

As of now, neither River Oaks nor the Generals have any future games scheduled.
