Baseball Recap: Delone Catholic Takes a Loss

Delone Catholic came into this matchup off a tough ten-run defeat last Wednesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the York County Tech Spartans by a score of 4-2 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Squires have suffered since May 1, 2024.

Mathew Mummert and Zach Staub did some serious damage despite the final result: Mummert got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI, while Staub scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those two stolen bases gave Staub a new career-high.
