Soccer Game Preview: Laguna Beach vs. Channel Islands

The Laguna Beach Breakers will face off against the Channel Islands Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a six-game winning streak alive.

Laguna Beach is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They never let Yucaipa get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. Given the Breakers' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while the Thunderbirds are ranked 160th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, it may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Channel Islands ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They skirted past St. Margaret's 2-1. That's two games straight that the Raiders have won by just one goal.

Channel Islands' win bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Laguna Beach, their victory bumped their record up to 15-4.
