Recap: Calvary Chapel Academy Eagles vs. Master's Academy Patriots
The Calvary Chapel Academy Eagles fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Master's Academy on Thursday and snuck past 45-43. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Calvary Chapel Academy also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Calvary Chapel Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Noah Bolen, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds. The game was Bolen's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaleb Steiger, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Calvary Chapel Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Master's Academy, they bumped their record down to 1-6 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Calvary Chapel Academy will challenge Pine at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pine presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Calvary Chapel Academy in Florida (Pine is ranked 342nd, while Calvary Chapel Academy is ranked 720th). Master's Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Odyssey Charter School at 7:00 p.m. on December 19th.
