After a string of seven wins, International Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell to the New Standard Academy Spartans 53-47. The Phoenix were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Spartans earlier this season, when they won 68-63.

International Academy's loss dropped their record down to 20-4. As for New Standard Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.
