After flying high against the Coral Academy of Science - Reno Falcons last Saturday, the Sacramento Country Day Cavaliers came back down to earth. Sacramento Country Day was dealt a 64-21 defeat at the hands of Sacramento Waldorf on Wednesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Sacramento Country Day has scored all season.

Several Cavaliers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Derek Taylor, who scored ten points. Another player making a difference was Ryan Scripps, who scored seven points.

Sacramento Country Day's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Sacramento Waldorf, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sacramento Country Day will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Western Sierra Collegiate Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Sacramento Waldorf won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Cristo Rey at 7:00 p.m. on December 14th. Cristo Rey is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
