Volleyball Recap: McQueen Find Success

McQueen's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Reed Raiders by a score of 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Lancers: when they faced off against the Raiders on September 4th, they had to take a 3-0 defeat.

McQueen had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 22-25, 26-24, 25-21, 25-21.

McQueen can attribute much of their success to Nya Lagrone, who had 16 digs and three assists. That's the most digs Lagrone has posted since September 2nd. Olivia Ludwig also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

McQueen was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in three consecutive matchups.

McQueen's record now sits at 12-10. As for Reed, their loss dropped their record down to 13-10.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. McQueen is set to face off against their familiar foe Hug at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Reed will take on rival North Valleys at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
