Basketball Recap: Falls City/Kings Valley Charter Comes Up Short

Falls City/Kings Valley Charter lost against Mapleton back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Falls City/Kings Valley Charter Mountaineers received a blow as they fell 47-32 to the Mapleton Sailors. The Mountaineers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Leading Mapleton to victory were Lucie Burruss and Morgan Milbrett. Burruss almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine boards, while Milbrett dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance gave Milbrett a new career-high in rebounds. Abbi Mendez Galvan was another key player, putting up eight points and seven boards.

Falls City/Kings Valley Charter now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Mapleton, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Falls City/Kings Valley Charter will venture away from home to face off against Lewis Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mapleton has already played their next match (against Eddyville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
