Basketball Game Preview: Tabernacle Christian Conquerors vs. Triad Baptist Christian Academy Titans

Tabernacle Christian is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Friday. They and the Triad Baptist Christian Academy Titans will face off at 6:30 p.m. without much rest, having both just played.

On Thursday, Tabernacle Christian came up short against Statesville Christian and fell 66-53. The loss continues a trend for the Conquerors in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost three in a row.

Despite their defeat, Tabernacle Christian saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Parker Schatz, who posted 12 points, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Taguinod, who had nine points and six rebounds.

Meanwhile, Triad Baptist Christian Academy humbled Gospel Light Christian with a 68-33 victory. The contest marked the Titans' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Tabernacle Christian now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Triad Baptist Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Tabernacle Christian might still be hurting after the 55-31 loss they got from Triad Baptist Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in January. Thankfully for the Conquerors, Collin Morrison (who went 10-for-17 en route to 23 points in addition to five boards and five steals) won't be suiting up this time.
