Basketball Recap: Hillside Falls to Cardinal Gibbons in First Game of Season

Hillside kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 63-40 to the Cardinal Gibbons Crusaders. The Hornets have struggled against the Crusaders recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Ty Lange was a one-man wrecking crew For Cardinal Gibbons. as he almost dropped a double-double with 21 points and nine boards. That's the most points Lange has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicholas Ercolino, who earned ten points.

Cardinal Gibbons has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Hillside will welcome Millbrook at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cardinal Gibbons, they will challenge Garinger at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
