Basketball Recap: Pittsfield Takes a Loss

Pittsfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 49-40 to the North Mac Panthers. The Saukees were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2015.

Pittsfield's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for North Mac, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-16.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pittsfield and Beardstown will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. As for North Mac, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Hillsboro at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Hillsboro's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while North Mac has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road.
