Preview: Millry Wildcats vs. Choctaw County Tigers
Having just played yesterday, the Millry Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Choctaw County Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Tuesday, Millry didn't have too much trouble with Fruitdale on the road as they won 58-44.
Meanwhile, Choctaw County's seven-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 68-51 victory over Sweet Water. Choctaw County's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Tyshawn Carlisle continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 32 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Johnny Grice Jr., who scored 18 points.
Millry's record is now 5-6. Choctaw County's record now sits at 3-9.
Millry might still be hurting after the 59-37 defeat they got from Choctaw County in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Can Millry avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
