Newell's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top against the Cheyenne-Eagle Butte Braves by a score of 3-1. The Irrigators haven't had any issues with the Braves recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Newell's victory bumped their record up to 11-13. As for Cheyenne-Eagle Butte, their loss dropped their record down to 9-12.

Coincidentally, Newell and Cheyenne-Eagle Butte will both be playing Dupree the next time they take the court. The Braves will head out to face the Tigers at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Irrigators will play them later in the day, at 5:30 p.m.
