Basketball Recap: Merrol Hyde Magnet Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Merrol Hyde Magnet was the 62-33 winner over Christian Community when they last played one another back in November of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Merrol Hyde Magnet Hawks received a blow on Tuesday as they fell 58-41 to the Christian Community Colts. The Hawks were down 58-27 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

When it comes to explaining why Merrol Hyde Magnet lost, don't look at Sam Mullins. Despite the final result, he posted 11 points and four steals. With that strong performance, Mullins is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Harrison Gill, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 13 points.

Merrol Hyde Magnet's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-4. As for Christian Community, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-9.
