Basketball Game Preview: New Richmond Lions vs. Blanchester Wildcats

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Lions challenge the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. New Richmond will be strutting in after a victory while Blanchester will be coming in after a defeat.

On Friday, New Richmond needed a bit of extra time to put away Wilmington. They had just enough and edged the Hurricane out 51-48. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Lions have posted against the Hurricane since December 18, 2020.

Meanwhile, Blanchester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. The contest between them and Georgetown didn't end well, with Blanchester falling 65-46.

New Richmond's victory bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Blanchester, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-18.
