Basketball Recap: Elizabeth 'Ellie' Collins' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Alleghany over Elkin

Alleghany lost against Elkin back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Alleghany Trojans fell 40-30 to the Elkin Buckin' Elks. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Alleghany lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Elizabeth 'Ellie' Collins, who posted six points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ally Glenn, who put up five points and five boards.

Alleghany's loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Elkin, their victory bumped their record up to 8-14.

Looking ahead, Alleghany will welcome Starmount at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Elkin, they will venture away from home to take on Mount Airy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
