Basketball Recap: Kade Mccorison's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Ninilchik over Kenai Central

Ninilchik was the 52-51 winner over Kenai Central when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Ninilchik Wolverines fell 55-47 to the Kenai Central Kardinals on Saturday. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ninilchik lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Kade McCorison, who posted 21 points and seven boards. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 18 or more in each of the last 27 games he's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Russell, who earned ten points and eight rebounds.

Ninilchik's defeat dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Kenai Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.

Ninilchik does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kenai Central, they will be playing at home against Redington at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
