Basketball Recap: Anson Takes a Loss

Anson lost against Parkwood back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Anson Bearcats fell 59-48 to the Parkwood Wolf Pack.

When it comes to explaining why Anson lost, don't look at Jayden Little. Despite the final result, he went 11-for-17 on his way to 23 points and three steals. Little is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 41 games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Taviane Robinson, who posted eight points along with 11 rebounds and five blocks.

Even though they lost, Anson smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 41 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Anson's loss dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Parkwood, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-16.

As of now, neither Anson nor Parkwood have any future games scheduled.
