Decatur Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11-1. As for Indianapolis Shortridge, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-9.

Decatur Central took their victory against Indianapolis Shortridge in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 4-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hawks since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
