Artesia dropped their record down to 16-8-1 on Saturday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Anaheim Colonists by a score of 5-3. The Pioneers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Colonists earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

As for Anaheim, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-16. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since March 11th.

For Anaheim's part, the team relied heavily on Andrew Tabita, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs. Those four hits gave Tabita a new career-high.

Artesia does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Anaheim, they will face off against Loara at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Saxons will roll in looking for their 15th straight victory, something the Colonists surely won't give up without a fight.
