Basketball Recap: Northwest Whitfield's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Northwest Whitfield). They came out on top against the Ringgold Tigers by a score of 73-64 on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Bruins sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Northwest Whitfield had a senior duo take command as Miah Triana went 9-for-15 en route to 20 points and eight rebounds and Lindsey Harris dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Triana has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kelbrie Flowers, who shot 71% from the field on her way to 13 points and five rebounds.

Northwest Whitfield was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Northwest Whitfield's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Ringgold, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Northwest Whitfield and Ringgold will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Bruins will take on rival Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on December 5. Meanwhile, Ringgold is set to face off against their familiar foe Murray County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
