Soccer Recap: Williamstown Starts Season with Win Against Magnolia

Williamstown had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Their defense stepped up to hand the Magnolia Blue Eagles a 9-0 shutout on Wednesday. Even though Williamstown got in a bit of trouble with the refs ( Morgan Nestor was handed a red card), the team managed to overcome the adversity.

Williamstown has already played their next game, an 8-0 defeat against Wheeling Central Catholic on the 23rd. As for Magnolia, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 5-0 loss against John Marshall on the 23rd.
