Basketball Game Preview: Santa Fe Indians vs. Angleton Wildcats

The Santa Fe Indians will head out on the road to challenge the Angleton Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Santa Fe is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.8 points per game this season.

Santa Fe will head into Friday's matchup out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They lost 66-44 to Ball.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Aidan Jewell, who posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaidan Mata, who had 11 points.

Meanwhile, Angleton was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 76-71 to Ball. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Tornadoes: they've now lost five in a row.

Angleton's defeat dropped their record down to 14-14. As for Santa Fe, they dropped their record down to 10-15 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Santa Fe was taken down by Angleton 77-41 when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Santa Fe avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
