Baseball Recap: Bell Creek Academy Gets the Win

Bell Creek Academy's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Sarasota Military Academy Eagles a 5-0 shutout.

Evan Booker made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over seven innings pitched. Booker was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

In other batting news, Euriah Benoit was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple. Another player making a difference was Kyle Valdes, who earned two runs and two stolen bases.

Bell Creek Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Sarasota Military Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Bell Creek Academy will head out on the road to challenge Ruskin Christian at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed ten runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Sarasota Military Academy, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Keswick Christian at 7:00 p.m. on the 27th.
