Baseball Recap: Lewis-Palmer Wins High-Profile Game Against Pueblo County

Lewis-Palmer faced Pueblo County in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. Lewis-Palmer beat Pueblo County by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 5-1. This was payback for the Rangers, who suffered a 10-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Daniel Fox, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Joey Davis, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Lewis-Palmer's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-0. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Pueblo County, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.
